Elongating bolt hole on TPI? and fitting earlier heads?

I just learned that by elongating the center bolt holes on my TPI ('88 L98) that I can fit earlier model heads to my engine. What is the best way to do this and are there any other mods that need to be done?
Thanks for your time and effort,
Denne (cycobeast@yahoo.com)

A machine shop would probably be the best way to go. They should do it pretty cheap, and that way you know it won't get screwed up (hopefully). Older style heads will also require you to get different valve covers, as centerbolts won't work.
