1.6 rockers on the exhaust
hello- i've got a idea and thought i'd run it buy to see if anybody has tried it or has any thoughts. i've got a single pattern cam, comp 294s, and i've been thinking about adding 1.6 rockers to the exhaust side to help crutch the exhaust system we are sadled with on these cars.i've tried different exhausts and have had clearence problems or run ins with the police.what i want is a quiet car that can still run.the numbers. i've got hedman headers with a single 3" exhaust now. any inputs?

It used to be more done more often before dual pattern cams were commonly available. I don't think it will make up for an inadequate exhaust system though, opening the valve more won't help if there's nowhere for the exhaust to go.

its not that i don't have an exhaust ,i just thought the extra lift and duration would give more time for the exhaust to leave.its done on the intake to help overcome weak cylinder heads , why wouldn't it help scavenge a restrictive exhaust?
