Need help please
I posted this in exhaust at first but I guess it kinda morphed into a tech/general engine question.

In addition to everything I already wrote, I tightened up the egr valve and played with the cooling system. The thing that really bothered me was that the heater hoses and upper radiator hose were scorching hot after a few minutes of runtime. The lower radiator hose was ice cold. If the thermostat is closed, shouldn't the upper radiator hose be cold too? I think there might have been a large air pocket in the lower radiator hose that I squeezed out (hopefully). At this point I've had the car running about 10 times or more for about 45sec-5min each. I hope the cam has worn in sufficiently because by now I'm sure all the assembly lube is gone. Going on this assumption, I let it run at idle for a while. The headers did not glow anymore, but then again it was only at 600 rpm in park. Im supposed to set curb idle to 650 but I don't know how. It ran really rough at this speed, surging and putting, and then it finally gave me something to work with. An error code 34: vacuum sensor circuit. Do these symptoms point to a vacuum leak? Thanks and I know I write too much
