Fuel Injectors
Anyone know where I can get the stock, multec fuel injectors for a 89 305 TPI. My #2 cylinder just shut down, should I buy just one or replace the lot of them.
Just relaying what I've heard, but the Multec injectors are prone to failure. If you want to replace them one-at-a-time, you can. If you want to solve the problem more permanently and all at once, consider pricing out a set of new injectors. You might even get some older Rochester or Bosch take-outs that can be sent to Cruzin Performance for flow matching, so you have a more reliable set.

Im trying to keep it stock, or at least stock looking. If I could find an injector casing that looks the same I would buy it. Here is my reasoning 37k original everything.
Oh I know the alternator isn't stock, but thats cheap and easily replaced when it comes time to sell.

RE: the old ones, put them in a bag...put in good ones...if you ever go to a resto-correct show, or sell the car, you have the parts to convert..
Then again, you can pay the 120/130 for one injector...or 210/220 for a whole set of 8.
I know original is good...but these cars are 15-20+ years old...and I don't think will ever be "collector" value other than a select few oddbals, special optioned ones.
For perspective, we all knew back in the mid 70's the tri-five Chevy's, etc were worth the bucks and valubale to collect...I just don't see it happening with our little niche in the world
