For individual items it's usually cheaper for me to buy locally, but if I can spread the cost of shipping over a large number of items, I'll order from Summit.

Summit

Performance Auto Warehouse (PAW)

Jegs

All 3 are very reliable. Summit is the best by far.

I really like Summit Racing. They have fast shipping on in stock items. I think the prices are good also. Good tech support to.

I used to use Jeg's a few years ago, but there customer service wasn't so great. I might try giving them another chance now.

Summit's website is really easy to use and search for parts. That's what makes me go to them most of the time.

Jegs website sucks!! The search feature really sucks. I can type in camaro exhaust and get everything except an exhaust to fit a camaro.

PAW's website is for placing orders only. You have to pay for the catalog as well. But there prices are awesome.

There aren't really and speed shops aroung me where I can go and buy aftermarket parts. Autozone, but there price is so high I can order from any of the 3 listed, pay the $8 handling and still come out ahead.

Anything else, I go to KOI Kentucky Motors. I get a deal on Delco parts. I just replaced my water pump. $16 from there.

They are all over the place in Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio There aren't any in Louisville. Check out there site www.koiautoparts.com to see what is the closest one to you. There is one in Frankfort if you are close enough.

There prices are better than Autozone. I just called to check the price of a part and didn't talk to the guy I know, Serp belt for a Saturn $19 at Autozone for a Springfield, $12 at KOI for an AC Delco. They are a warehouse that really supplies mechanic shops. They have a small floor that you can walk into. Some of them also have machine shops. That is where my Dad use to get all of his machining done (this was in Georgetown). They close the machine shop part though.

Interesting stuff.

Anyone have any good results with Ebay? A lot of parts are cheap on Ebay, but I was told otherwise once that it's a bad idea to buy parts off Ebay?

Advance Auto, usually arrives quicker, and is cheaper than Summit. I can order it one business day and guaranteed the next day it's here. No matter what time I ordered it. I ordered my holley fuel pump from there and it was pretty late in the day 5 or 6ish and it was there the next morning. And they stock AC Delco

KOI beets Advanced too. There may be one in your area. It is based out of Covington (Cincy). The Advanced Auto here sucks. No offense to you. I am sure they are a great company.? They just really blow service wise here. You can't get aftermarket stuff there(KOI Kentucky Motors Service). I gaurantee that at regular price, KOI Kentucky Motors will be cheaper on any A/C Delco product.

Only problem is that it is regional. Unless you are in this area you are out of luck. My experience is that Summit is better price wise despite the handling fee ( remember, Advanced is poor here).

Just my I will get off my soap box now!!

Well I'm friend's with a guy at works there so they've always been more than helpful. They carry a lot of aftermarket stuff at the Advance here in town. Though most of it is Holley. I got my Edelbrock 1405 at Autozone. It was more expensive, but after figuring shipping and handling it was about the same as Jeg's.

I use Summit and Jegs. I bought my blower from Summit. They have very good service. When the kit came, the blower pulley for the crank was damaged and they 2-day'd another one to me and paid for UPS to pick up the defective one. I also use Jegs for guages and hard to find items like scoops.
I hear Pace performance is also very good for cool wheels and stuff but they are a bit more expensive.
