Timing mark WAY off

I am trying to get my new 335 running. I can get it started and even get it to idle sometimes but the timing mark is WAY over on the passenger side about 9 o'clock. What could cause this? I think I have the wrong timing tab (I have the one at about 2 o'clock and it should be at 12 I think for the 400 blancer) but I can't get it close to either....
