The first thing to try is to check all the clamps on the suction side of the Pump. They have to be tight other wise the pump will just suck air. I don't know if its possiable but you may of not got the fuel pump shaft in the right position on the fuel pump arm. The new pump is bad.

Maybe you could try this. Jack up the front of the car and put it on jackstands. Remove the fuel line from the inlet side of the pump. You do have the fuel line from the tank connected to the inlet side of the fuel pump don't you? I've seen this happen. Anyhow take a short piece of rubber fuel line and hook it up to the pump and emerce it in a small container of gas. Crank the engine and the pump should empety that container very quickly.

Help[ me out here, is it an electric pump n the tank? or a mechanical pump on the block?

Electric should spool up in no time, mechanical may take 10 seconds max to suck fuel out.

If mechanical, did you get the pushrod in correctly?

If looking for fuel in the carb...sure the float isn't stuck down?

Gotta forgive me, I only know what an L98, LO3/5 is by engine name.

In his first post he said that no fuel is getting to the carb, so I assumed he has a mech. fuel pump?? Maybe the carb needle & seat is stuck shut?

when you installed it, did you check to make sure the pushrod off the cam was placed up against the lever in the pump so as it would push against it when the camshaft turns?
