Tip of the Day, no heater blower....

I just wanted to post this as a tip for anyone who might encounter this problem as a good first thing to check.
When the blower stopped working in my 85, it didn't take me too long to figure out i had screwed up a ground as i had just finished swapping the 350 into it.
When the blower stopped working on my 92 over the weekend i was pissed and stumped. First i dove back into the console as i thought i had knocked the wiring off the controls pulling my radio in and out 5x last week due to a seperate problem. No dice, everything looks good. Next i get under the hood and check the wires at the fan motor, no juice. Next i check the wires into the resistor. Juice, aha, bad resistors. Then it occurs to me, i didn't check the ground at the fan motor, just voltage between the terminals of the connector. Bingo, no ground.

I have no idea how the ground got messed up on this one, but it is. If it can happen to me twice, it could happen to anyone. The easy solution is to run a ground from the fender to the fan motor mounting screw as it grounds through there as well. I'll post this on the electronics board too, but i figured more people would see/absorb it here.

you didnt accidently cut a wire while putting the 350 in did you? im not sure right off hand where the fan ground wire runs to and grounds at, but the fix you noted would work just fine. thanks for the heads up.
