Computer ?

If the check engine light is not light up when i first start the car, this means the bulb is bad. If this bulb is bad world that stop the computer from registering trouble codes? My car has problems, but when i took it to schucks and they scanned the computer there were no codes in there? My car is missing and retarding it's self at 4200 RPM'S and above. It never did this before. I only put in splitfire plugs and this started to happen. So I took out the crapfire plugs and put in champion plugs. This helped a little, but still have problem. Could the control module in the HEI be bad? I'm wondering if the splitfires voltage requirements were more than the 90,000 mile+ control module could handle. Any help would be great.

I'm not sure about the problem you are having with your car (I'm sure more knowledgable members will chime in to help), but I do know that just having the check engine light bulb burn out would not keep the ECM from storing codes. I also know that not every problem with symptoms you are describing will throw a code anyway. It's very possible that your ECM just hasn't thrown any codes.

Hope you get it resolved, though. Good luck.

You might need new plug wires, and/or cap, rotor, coil, module.

You can use a mutlimeter to check your coil and module. It would help to save money if you can check them.

HMMMMM

How do you use a multimeter to check them? I have one.

You probe the right two pins and measure resistance, check against the specs.

Pins to probe and specs to compare against are in the Helms manual, maybe the Chiltons/Haynes ones as well.
