Oil On Spark Plug Wire??
I was in the middle of putting some wire looms on my wires today(because I have now burned 4 due to laying on headers, plus they were zipped tied together, talk about crossfire) and when I pulled off the #2 plug wire (which was routed to the back of the motor under the headers and up to the distributor) it had oil all over it. I know that I have had an oil leak for awhile, and was told it might be a rear main leak, however, due to this area on the wire does it appear that this leak might most likely be a valve cover gasket leak. And after I have finally learned to take care of your plug wires because well today I am going to buy my 4th set since I had the car a little over a year. I am putting on looms plus I have protective sleeves coming to handle up to 1400*.

It also could be a bad seal... where is the oil specifically located at? Is it on the plug or the wire itself?

It was all over the wire, not the spark plug.
