Ignition Module Question

I took the dist cap off and found that the wires going to the ignition module were off and the connector was broken. I don't know which way to put them back on. There is a yellow and a green wire and on the module iteself is the letters P and N next to each connector. Does anyone know which wire goes where??

IIRC one of the connectors is wide and one is narrow; I think they'll only go on one way. But if they can, just try them one way and see if it works; if not, put them in the other way. It won't hurt anything if they're backwards, it just won't run right (maybe not at all).

There is 3 connectors on the module. Two are visible with the dist cap on. The other is only visible with the dist cap off. The one I am having trouble with is the one under the cap. It was a white connector with two wires going to it. One was green the other yellow. The white connector basically fell apart in my hands and I don't know where the green and yellow wires go on the module.

Justin, the wires/connector you're talking about is attached to the pickup coil, and gives the module it's reading... If you wanna be lazy (like me) do what I did... tape the wires together and connect them back up and hope it holds... if you wanna do it right, go out and buy a new pickup-coil (15$) and spend a couple hours labor on pulling the dist shaft, taking the old off and putting the new on, and then there won't be any question where they go...

As to where the wires go in the first place, I just happen to have a space module and PU coil right here... (the wires are actually white and green, but lets assume your wires have aged into yellow...)

Green goes to "P"
White(yellow) goes to "N"

Hope that helps.
