no spark

I was installing a car alarm/starter in my 89 Iroc Z 305 tpi 5 speed. I finished the install and tested to make sure it worked, which it did. So I put the whole car back together and while doing this I managed to pinch the tach wire under the steering column bolt. So because of this short the ignition coil smoked and the wire pinched under the dash smoked too. Ok so now I replaced the ignition coil and fixed the wiring screw up and NO SPARK.
I have tried a new ignition module, ohmed out the pick up coil ( 900 ohms) and checked all the spark plug wires and plugs. I have also plugged in my laptop with winaldl to check for codes and there are none. Anyone have any suggestions??? btw I have tried two new ignition coils.

Check this thread out - happened to me about a year ago. There might not be anything you can use, but it may worth trying some of the stuff in there just to eliminate the possible problems. Good Luck
