Okay, my car hasn’t been started in about 6 months since its been parked. I'm getting ready to have the engine rebuilt so I wanted to start it up and move it around. It cranks but wont start. I do not hear the fuel pump at all. I pushed in the Schrader valve on the fuel rail and there is no pressure in it. What all makes the fuel pump turn on? I know there is a fuse for it under the dash. That isn’t blown so I need to tack down why it isnt turning on. Where do I start? Thanks

 

Did you check the the fuel pump relay up by the drivers side under the hood? If you have a MAF system you will have two other relays also, if its the MAP setup you'll just have the one black relay, that should be the fuel pump relay. Check it to see if its working, you should be able to hear it move when its sposed to come on(when the ignition is turned on initially).
