rockers??

well we have had some weird times tonight got the car runnin perfect after i swapped a v8 into a v6 car, well i was drivin her tonight and it has a ticking sound (which maybe coming from the rockers) but if it is ticking and its not the exhaust would it be because of the adjustment needed, or would it be coming from a pushrod, or something else it only ticks sometimes, other times it doesnt tick as bad hit me up with ideas and or suggestions

could be injectors, exhaust, or rockers. do you know that you adjusted them right or did you sort of guess at setting them?
