High pressure fuel system ?s

There's a possibility that I might be able to get an LT1 and all the accessories, wiring harness, etc out of a 96 Z28 for a pretty good price. My question is about the fuel system. I have an 82 Camaro with a low pressure, mechanical fuel pump. What needs to be done to convert to a hig pressure fuel system for EFI?

So on 82s, they had an intank pump and the mechanical pump on the block?

No. You need to remove your mechanical pump and take the pump from the lt1, put it in your fuel tank, and make new fuel lines or get the ones from the lt1.

In that case you should be able to just block off the mech and run something like an SX external electric. No need to go inside the tank.

I had a brain fade and forgot there was no FI for pre84s

Ok. That's what I thought, but you threw me for a loop there.
