intank fuel pump removal

what needs to be done when taking out the intank pump to run another pump thats not in the tank. I already have the pickup loose but i had to leave for awhile cuz the gas was too strong for me this time. im running another electric pump mounted in the engine compartment. thanx

by the way i didnt drop the tank i cut my own panel behind the rear seats.

Electric pumps do not work real well in the engine compartment. They are not intended to draw fuel. They are designed to be gravity fed and push fuel. I mounted mine behind the backseat on the drivers side and used the existing fuel lines.
