All depends on where you live i.e. smog rules, etc. You can pull off the air, smog pump, cruise conrols, what ever you're willing to live without. Daily driver or street terror it all depends.

Just keep in mind that even without a lot of that stuff, our engine bays are pretty cramped.

I find it really easy to work in mine. No AIR/SMOG system, no A/C, no heat, custom serpentine setup, no battery, no cruise control, no EGR. Now I just need to get rid of that pesky power steering and convert those power brakes to manual..

Its still going to remain 100% street car, just not in the winter cuz not having heat sucks sometimes

I also dont have the luxury of heating, AC, stereo or anything, I can drive and drive fast, thats it. But, AC never worked, heating stopped working and I am out of my dual 12" subs in the rear phase, i'm now in the loudest bad assed sounding engine and smoking r1ce cars lol.

how'd you do away with the heater hoses? don't you still need coolant flow around the thermostat until it opens? I'd think that the water pump pushing cooling to a closed thermostat without a flow around it to relieve pressure would blow something

Interesting point. I blocked off the port on the water pump that goes to the heater code. Should I runt hat back into the radiator?

No I have not weighed my car ever. I wish I had before I did all the work so I could compare it now. I'll have the dash shell, carpet and eventually, some summit race seats, no rear seats, front only.
