a little to the left,or right!help

well ,i took the 84 Z out today.it's leaking power steering fluid,I can't really tell from where though.Any ways,i went to turn and it almost went straight.There's alot of play in the steering wheel.I checked the tie rods,ball joint's ect..it all looks tight.What could this be?.....besides Dangerous.....

Transmission: Auto 700R4
Axle/Gears: 9 bolt - 2.77
Check to make sure your steering box is'nt wore out. Might be causing your problem.

Hey man, as far as the leak goes, if it is not obviously a leaky line or so, try adding a teaspoon of brake fluid in with the steering fluid. This works a lot of times. It swells the seals. I have done this on a few cars that had bad leaks, and have gotten quite a few extra miles out of them before replacing rack & Pinions, and pumps. Just a suggestion. By the way, it is nice to see another local Florida 3rd Genner out there!
