need help please, anyone!!!

i just put on new plug wires, plugs. So i was goin to check the timing and as it was idling (about 5-10 min) the headers started glowing hardcore red w/ check engine light. So i turned it off and now it wont start (maby heat soaked starter). Now all i did different from normal is: New headers, plug wires, exhaust, o2 sensor. Drove it around last night and it was fine. Today i bought new plugs (NGK heat rating 8, old ones were AC delco), disconnected the battery and unplugged the ECU to reset it, and cleaned my old cap and rotor (4 year old Accel one). So it was idling and the headers were glowing. I pulled a plug and it was real clean, new looking still. They got about 10 min of run time and drove it around the block. But they look like they got REAL hot, the tip is discolored a bit but not white, just raw metal looking.
