iron Duke and a 700R4 ????

anyone know for a fact if a 700R4 will simply bolt up to an Iron Duke 2.5 ltr motor?? I assume not but I had to ask since I have a line on a 700R4 right now. this setup would be going into an 82 Firebird if its possible.

a duke should bolt up to a standard gm smallblock bolt pattern, but the starter on the duke is on the driver side and the starter on the sb is on the passenger side.

i dont know if youll have to move the starter or not ,thou.

Think it will turn a 700R4 input shaft?

Should have put this in the tranny board, probably get some better responses. AFAIK it should work, but never done it myself so ill leave it up to someone who has.
