Loss of power
Ok, I was driving home from work this morning, going down the freeway at 65-70 mph, when the engine started bogging down, almost like it was running out of gas, but it never died. I pulled back onto the road and it would no longer go up to 65 anymore. At one point I had to floor it to keep a steady 55! The check engine light came on, then would go out. The car does sound like it has an exhaust leak (original exhaust, but no cat). Also, it has new plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor. Sound familiar to anyone?
PS: It kind of reminds me of when my tranny went out in my El Camino. I gradually lost power until it completely quit turning. But this car has a 4-speed manual.

is the motor revving like its slipping or is it bogging? if its bogging then u might just want to check all ur plug wires cause they have a tendency to pop off when newly intalled. Also just try to get a hold of a scanner liek a tech1 because that will get rid of alot of the guess work.
