Cant turn motor over by hand

Ok i just got done putting my remaned 350 in my camaro. Before hand i had it on a stand and had the pullies on and dampner on and could crank the motor over by hand with a wrench. Now with it in the car i cant. I removed the pulley b4 i put it in the car and when reasembling it i ended up striping the 7/16-20 thread out. i now have it taped for a 1/2 - 20 thread and a new bolt. Tried that but it seems lk im gona strip it out again. Any ideas what could be stoping it form roatatin? the head are on. no rockers. Tranny is in the car too. I found out i couldnt rotate it when i went to install torque converter. Im frecking out

Are the spark plugs in? Were you turning it over on the engine stand with the heads on?

Don't use the balancer bolt to pull the pulley onto the crank. You'll just strip it out again. Use a proper installer.

how much force are you putting on it when your try to turn it?
like does it just naturaly feel like its taking to much to turn it?
or could it be that you cant get the force behind it that you could with it on the stand

sorry im not a mechanic but ive remeved a few trannys in my day and know what your going through lol
