Fan still aint starting......Please help...!
Ok guys, i had posted this question a while back, but i still didn't solve my problem. My fan ain't starting. I turn on my ac, it doesn't start, so i replaced the relay. I tried it again, it still doesn't start. I know my fan motor works cuz we checked it out in autozone, they tested it, it was good. WHat can be the problem. I heard that pepboys carries some type of wiring that comes with relays and cesors (something like that) that helps you control your fan. Is this worth it? Thanx for any info!

I bypassed the car's electrical on mine and ran an adjustable temp switch, relay to the fan.Perma-Cool and others make adjustable temp switches. You can set it to come on at any temp you want, it shuts off at 10 degrees cooler.About $27 if I remember correctly.
If the Air is on, yours should come on whether or not the temp switch is bad, so maybe you have a wiring problem.
What was Ground ten years ago, may no longer be a good ground.
If you want more info about my setup e-mail me.

I'm assuming you've already replaced the coolant temp fan switch on your intake manifold...
OK, Autozone workers range from sort of competent to completely retarded. Also, your fan motor could be intermittently bad and just happened to work at AZ (what, did they jumper power straight to it?)
Do this first:
(1) Get a voltmeter
(2) Unplug the fan motor wiring harness and get the engine hot (200+) - measure the voltage (from the wires that plug go into the harness, of course, not the fan side).
(3) You're looking for the voltage to change from 0 V (engine on, not over 220*) to 12V (temp guage reading well over 220*).
When you get the results (or if you've already done this), you'll know whether it's really the fan or the wiring/relay?

i ahd the same problem the wires were fine and the fan motor was fine i replaced the relay + sensors = didnt help so i wired a switch i switch onwhen i think its warm enough, but u suould provably get the one that switched on automatically , cuz unless u have good memory to check your temp, u may, melt your bearings, and that wont be too good ,
so wither wire a switch or get the one the other guy was talking about (27 $ )
i hope it helps
