What do you think?????

This is my current setup:

305 bored .020
Ported intake
52in TB
Adjustable fuel pressure regulator
SR Torquer Heads
Complete MSD Ign.
3in exhaust headers back

And I am wondering if this cam would be good, Comp Cams 262hr-12 is this too much or too little for the setup above.....

Just a few FYI's

The 305 will be bored .030" over. Not too many machine shops (at least none to my knowledge) will only go .020" over. That and I don't think .020" over piston are 'readily' available.

Porting the intake is fine. All you really should worry about though is 'gasket matching' the runners (I'm assuming that you have TPI based on your next Q). Then polish the runners. Don't try and go too big on the porting, otherwise you can end up with 'too many' holes in the runners. Also gasket match the plenum and intake.

Last I knew, throttle bodies were measured using millimeters, not inches. That would be a 4' 4" hole the way you described it.

AFPR on a TPI is only needed if you do drastic mods. But it sounds like you're on your way, so go ahead and get it.

SR Torquer Heads are good. If your gonna go through the trouble of porting the intake runners and plenum, then pocket port those heads also.

The MSD ignition is not 'needed'. But it never hurts if you do pretty descent mods.

The headers are gonna be an 'up-in-the-air' issue. The size you are gonna need all depends on how you plan on using the car.

The same holds true for the cam. What are the specs on that cam (I haven't got all of them memorized yet )?

So far it sounds like you're on the right path. Just do a little more research and you will be fine. Although I guess that's why you're asking, right? That' doing research!!

I just read the post you put on here earlier. How did you end up with an RS that has TPI? That is (as far as I know) impossible. More than likely you have a TBI.

For the cam you are looking for, look into any cam that says that it's "computer compatible". Comp Cams, Crane, and I think Lunati all make such cams. Go to their web sites and look into it.

Maybe he converted it to TPI? Otherwise good luck putting that AFPR on a TB. And the throttle body, 52in? That'd be huge! You mean 52mm TB. Again, what are those cam specs? I've noticed that computer compatible cams tend to have a larger lobe separation, usually between 112-114 which gives a smoother idle and higher idle manifold vacuum to keep the computer happy.
