car runs great until it warms up ?
i have recently replace several items under the hood. and removed several stock hardware. I changed the intake and carb and i removed all emmisions ive reconected my water temp sending unit but thats all so there is very little left for the computer to control atleast i asumed.
here is the senireo i start my car idt idles a little high by a few rpms 200 mabe car heats up i kick it off high idle and take off after sayu 5-10 min of driveing the care begins to have a mind of its own the ide increses to about 2000 rpm at all time. its like a stuck trottle feeling but my linkage is fine you put it in nutreal and the rpms continue to rise. im wondering if it hast to do with the electic advance on my distributor ive left ever sensor unpluged. i under stand most of the systems i removed as far as emissions but the is a few on the passanger side of the block that im not sure about. i know one is a temp sending switch for the fan relay.
i just caint understand all the crap they put on the 305 it ran fine in 78 or so with no fancy bells or whisles i want to get a simpler system to work on i know this post is long but i feel the more info i give the beter help i will receive.

One of your problems is going to be the distributor, with the wire unhooked your going to get no spark advance. Best bet here is just swap it out with an older non cc HEI dizzy.
What carb did you throw on there?
I have a feeling if its electric choke its foobared and after a bit it goes to high idle again.

here,s what i got
my carb is a holly 650 sread bore maual choke. the idle screw is turned all the way down. i have the electronic advance on the distro hooked but i wish i could make it work my hooking a few things back up. i was attemptin to get is to run as fast as possible because i was moveing. i removes down to even the water neck sensor. a basic jist on elevtric vrs vacume advance would be cool.
