What happens when no PVS Switch installed?

What happens when no PVS Switch installed?

Hi,
as you can see above, I wanna know, what happen when I drive without the PVS Switch?
How would I notice it?

Ported Vacuum Switch. It's located near the thermostathousing. Got 2 vacuumlines on, one is EGR and the other is something for the carb. The switch goes into a cooling-fluid-channel in the manifold.
EGR I do not have. Removed it.

Yeah, Thermal Vacuum Switch. It supplies vacuum to the EGR valve only after the coolant has warmed up. If you took off the EGR, you can lose the TVS.

Oh TVS? Some guy told me it's PVS. But ok, still learning :-)
Is it only for the EGR? 'Cause of the two hoses...
That would be very good. Because, the hole is to wide for the TVS and so I can just use a plug to close it.

PVS is probably the Pfnord term for it or something.
