Clunk-Tap-Rub?

Would it be possible that something internal would clunk and tap along with engine speed under NO load only?

Under load, no noise. No obvious loss of power.

I can't see anything in the engine compartment yet, but will keep looking around. It sounds similar to a valve tapping, but that's no what it is.

Any ideas?

that's one of those experience things. without hearing it, it's hard to say. could be valvetrain, piston pin or rod bearings or something different, hard to say. there are procedures you can follow to eliminate certain noises listed in the service manuals.
