Does the 1986 iroc have a low oil pressure fuel cut off?

I was driving home then the car lost all power then it tried to start but it was like I was out of gas but I have a full tank I tested the pump by powering the adla port. The pump was fine and I had good fuel pressure but if I just turn the key on I get very little fuel presser or none help i all so Have been having very low oil pressure since my oil change about 2 days ago help

Have you tried replacing the fuel filter? It might be a good place to start.

Yea it does, but it shuts the pump off completely so if you sometimes have a little fuel pressure then that isnt the problem.

Did you put a gauge on the fuel rail? What pressure did you get? If the fuel pressure is really your problem (too low) then other possible causes are the fuel pressure regulator and the fuel pump itself. You can sorta test the regulator by pinching/clamping off the return line and seeing if that raises your pressure. If not then the pump is the most likely culprit.

What could cause the pump to work one day and not the next?
A relay?
If so how can I test it and where is it?

Once the car is running the fuel pump relies on the oil pressure switch to keep it on. The relay is just there to prime the line before you start it. Meaning that the car can run just fine without the relay, it'll just crank extra long when you try to start it.
