probably a dumb question

i wanna put the 987 comp valvesprings on my engine now (1.430" OD) to replace my current no name 1.55" dual springs, can i get away with using the same retainers? or should i just buy the comp titanium retainers, and whats the advantage of titanium, and last question. if i should go with the comp cams titanium retainers, which ones match the 987 springs? thanks!

i doubt they will work for both. i don't have a comp catalog to look at, but if they were from lunati in their catalog they don't interchange. i'd buy steel retainers. the reason for titanium is the lighter weight.
