The Ford vs Chevy and the F-body gen gap...

I know this is not tech but.....go over to www.camaroz28.com and read the Generation Gap artical....It makes alot of sense. Also If we started to coperate with the Mustangs and other American Sports cars....even from the 60s....sharing information between each other we could show up a lot more RICE. I plan on posting this on other board b/c this will get locked but just look for it.....most people need to be educated about the American Sports car and how far superior they are to other types. People...esp young teens need to be "educated" they are seeing too much Rice in the movies and on Tv and in Magazines and from moron people like that last artical that came up on the board. Anyway...I beg fellow thirdgenners to be the first to aknowlage(spelling!!) this becuse most people see us as low life people who can't afford better and think we don't know what we are doing....lets show them we are better then that.

I want to know what you mean by even 60s cars. Did you say this because they have less in common with our stuff than other computer controlled stuff has in common with us?

I was just wondering because I bet that most people that are into real cars would absolutely love to have a nice 60s muscle or pony car or vette (I guess it's really neither of the other two). I so want a first gen camaro with a rat. I want an early second gen firebird with a nice big pontiac. I so want a 69 GTO with a rat. I would like to have chevelle. The 69 vert vette--oh my g o d! I could really go on all day...

Just wondering

Read the article, now I see why you said even 60s cars. However, I have never experienced that kind of nonsense (no post 85--hate to let the guy at solid gold MD know, but performance is at its best right now). In my house (going to college 15 miles away, living at home), there is a 2001 Z06 (black, my dad's), a Shelby Cobra replica registered as 1966 (my dad and I built it, just finished), my 91 formula WS6. Over the past ten years there have been these plus these (all were new at the times): 92 firebird L03, 97 trans am, 98 camaro Z-28 vert (all my dad's), and 1999 v6 camaro (was mine). There are other people out here with sweet cars (vipers, even one Hennessee 800R!!, prowlers, SS/WS6, cobra R). I get positive responses no matter which car I am in (have been in).

I haven't read the article yet, but I agree, the whole American car battle between ford, chevy, mopar and others needs to stop. We need to join together in the fight against the ricers.

we can show them up with how much faster our cars are easy, but the hard part is telling them why a V8 will always have more power then a 4 or V6 mod for mod....They think thay are cool beacuse they can beat a 20 year old car with their 3 year old one...I would like to seem them up against a stock 1999 LS1. This is what they don't under stand....why waste your money and kill off the American sports car.

Lets TRY to keep this post open by keeping it clean................

Where I live, they have car shows at a shopping center on Sat. For the first year there were nothing but American muscle and hot rods there. Now I have heard that they are letting in some imports as well. One of which was an Integra. It's just not my tasted but whatever, as long as these cars have actual mods that are to be faster instead of all the worthless cosmetics.
