Advice when installing Lt1 cam
Any advice on putting in an lt1 cam into a 305? such as what you can do to squeeze extra performance out of it like timing of the cam and the spark and such, and general install tips? I want to go into the mod knowing as much as I possibly can so i can do it once and do it right.(DIOADIR)

What kind of power do you think this will produce?
1) LT-1 Cam
2) 3" Cat-back(already in place)
3) Airfoil(i know nothing but....it came with the car)
4) Taking my LB9 heads and smoothing out the ports and radiusing(spelling) a little.
5) Porting the Plenum and Base
6) Matching All the Ports......
235?

Didn't you post this exact message a week or so ago? I remember responding to it, maybe you should look that up.
By the way, its an LT1 cam, not LT-1. LT-1 was made in the 70s. With that cam and porting the intake you could probably add a good 25-30 horsepower, possibly more at 4000+ rpm. If you're taking the heads off I don't see why you don't just get a set of headers as well, that will make a huge difference with porting and a more aggressive cam. Likely into the 250s with that.
I would suggest a set of roller rockers as well. Make sure you take care of the extra long dowel pin on the LT1 camshaft. You can get a good timing chain and gears from cloyes at summitracing.com. Good luck.
