And don't get the "bargain" type, since it won't be any bargain in the long run. Brand is not quite as important as construction, materials, and design. Get a cap with solid brass terminals, molded of glass reinforced polyester instead of bakelite or polycarbonate, and one that has deep and pronounced arc chutes between the terminals to prevent flash over. Same as the rotor.
MSD has those, I've even seen them in some of the "bargain" lines such as Wells (Gold Line only), Standard Plus/Blue Streak, Borg/Warner, and others. Look at the features more than the name.
The same conventions are true with wires, and about most other ignition components. A name is only a name, and doesn't necessarily guaranty a level of quality.

I use an autozone cap and rotor. Its made by Conrad and has all brass terminals. I love it and its been working excellant with my MSD setup. Well worth it + alot cheaper then the MSD units.
