Someone Please Help!!!!

I am having problems with my 1989 firebird formula. It started out to be the battery, so i changed it, now it is acting like its not getting enough spark to start. i put a screwdriver in the end of one of the spark plug wires and got shocked. so i know that it is getting enough spark, but it still won't start. any ideas on what this might be or how to fix it??? a little more about my car, it is v8 with a 350 in it. runs like a dream, when it runs...

That was smart. There is such a tool as testers. There are also ways to test for spark without the tester, that don't involve safety issues as such. Just because you got zapped doesn't mean there's enough power to jump a plug gap.

Check all connections at the battery. Check the quality of the spark. Check timing and fuel pressure.

Sounds like possibly a fuel problem. If your car is a tbi, pull the air cleaner off, and spray a bit of starter fluid in while turning the car over. If it begins to start, then your not getting fuel.

Maybe your battery went bad for a reason.
Perhaps you need to replace the cables as well.
