hesitating

hesitating

my 88 iroc just started to hesitate when i hit the gas.
i got a code of 54. is that my fuel pump going bad any help would be great.

54 <Fuel Injected models> <fuel pump relay> problems caused. defective fuel pump; defective fuel pump relay; defective oil pressure switch; poor electrical connection; open or short in circuit; defective ECM.

Got the following from the FAQ page. The link is on the left side of the home page:
Code 54. Low voltage at fuel pump OR
Low voltage at Fuel pump relay OR
Output failure at quad driver module

Time to get your voltmeter out.
