KB long rod pistons and oil ring/oil usage question

Not engine specific here, but in general, many KB hyper pistons for long rods require a high pin hole that gets into the oil ring area. This requires the lower oil ring to be trimmed some to clear the locator pin. I want to know that if any of these pistons are used for street use, will that cause oil ring wear problems or excesive oil consumtion ??? An example piston would be a 400 with 6 inch rods. I don't want to debate the long/short rod thing, just want to know that - IF - I were to use that type of ring setup would it be ok or not ???

Thanks
