Evaporative Vacuum Canister
Is there supposed to be a vacuum line that goes into the inside of the fender and open? Off of the evaporative vacuum canister.
I don't think so. There is often one port left open to atmosphere but it's just a hose nipple with no hose on it. I don't recall anything with a short vacuum hose that attaches to nothing- not even back into the days of carburetors.
If there's a short hose going nowhere and it's not a flat-out mistake I'd wonder if it isn't the (3/8") vacuum line that's supposed to attach to the tank vent hardline mounted to the driver's side frame rail. Maybe someone removed the hardline and then had no place to hook this hose onto. Or maybe they just pulled it off and never put it back on the hardline.

Sorry I just checked to make sure I was right, and the TB line and the gas tank line are supposed to be switched my bad. But in case it’s still wrong. It’s an 89 GTA with the 350 TPI. What does the purge line look like??
