Transmission: slush box L65
Axle/Gears: Torsen "3.73"
push rod guide plates
Does anyone have knowledge of setting up guide plates? Are the rods suppossed to rub against the slot wall in the guide plate?

Yes. That is their job, is to guide the push rods; and in turn, the rockers.
That's how they got their name.
