Just about everything from the mid 60s to the late 80s. Virtually all Turbo 350 and 400 applications (small-block and big-block V8s) for example, both car and truck.

Why are you concerned about that? You're going about it backwars. What's wrong with putting a 12.8" flex plate for a 2-piece RMS motor in your car? Just do it right and be done with it; sell that other flex plate on eBay and put it behind you.

the 153 tooth one i took off the old motor wont fit the 2 peice seal. beacuse the hole in the middle is bigger for the 2 peice. and the one i baught off ebay the guy lied and said it was 153 but was a 168. so eaither i get a 153 tooth for a 2 peice seal or get a new starter for the 168 tooth.

Right, your old one is for a 1-piece motor. You just need the 12.8" one for a 2-piece motor.

Look up the one for 83-85 Camaro/firebird V8 auto. It's the one you need. You can probably pick one up at AutoZone in the morning.

4.3 litre astrovan. uses the same starter as 168 tooth sbc.I'd guess 1988 would do it. make sure it has a staggered pattern. like this:

"GM 01876552 Starter SBC & V6/90° Starter - Remanufactured, 14” flywheel."

come to think of it, you'd better check that your block has the staggered bolt holes. I'm not sure if it would or not. if it only has straight , then you're stuck buying an expensive aftermarket starter. one more thing i'd suggest is to make sure the flexplate didn't come off a 400cid.
