TBI 350 mechanical guage question

I've ventured away from F-cars due to the poor seating position (at least for me-- crappy knees make longer than 90 minute drives really suck) but still have an appreciation for a nice specimen. From the olden days, I know some of you really know your tech. Currently, I have a TBI 350 ('89 Suburban donor--wiring harness and everything) in a Jeep Wrangler.

I need to set up a mechanical coolant temp guage and oil pressure guage in this rig. I can handle the interior portion of this, but wondered where would be the best place to put the temp/pressure sender on a TBI without affecting any engine management.

Coolant Temp: My thinking is that I should put the mechanical coolant sender in the boss under the exhaust manifold on the passenger side of the block (there's one there if my memory serves me correctly). Anybody had any issues with this?

Oil Pressure: I thought I'd just 'T' off the pressure switch near the distributor and go with that.

Oh, and just in case you want to see what you're contributing to......

TBI 350, 700R4, D60 front-Eaton electric locker/14 bolt rear-spool, 38" Swamper SX.....etc.

Thanks for any help!!!
