Which dizzy in a vortec stealthram??

Just finishing up the last of the last on the swap, L31 rebuilt longblock with vortec stealthram w/ adjustable regulator. The fuel lines are ready and filled up all fluids just waiting on the dizzy and related wiring. Ok my question is about my original distrubter, will it work with the L31 cam. It was an 87 305 TPI small cap remote coil, I know thats right for the stealthram But what about the gear that meshes w/the cam thats what I am wondering about. Thanx for any and all info i receive

The great thing about the small block Chevy is the fact that they are highly interchangeable. You can use a distributor in your engine from '65 265cid or from an 75 truck with a big block. The distributor you have will be fine, but if want to upgrade to an Accel or MSD that will be fine also. No need to worry about the gear meshing.
