Electric or Mechanical Gauges???
Im looking at a custon gauge setup for the maro but am at the very start...Should i go with mechanical gauges or electric gauges (mechanical being cheaper usually)
also (equally as important) can I use a mechanical speedo with my T-5? (which will be converted to probably a TKO-600 so it has to work for that too).
Im looking at the zseries gauges form autometer but they only come with a mechanical speedo...

I like electronic but everything has its pro and cons...
Elec pros- fast readout, accurate
elec cons- expensive, just like any electronic device can go haywire on ya
Mech pros- cheap, seem to last 10x longer than the car
mech cons- slow readout
As for the speedo it all depends on the sending unit you have or can get. Shouldnt be a problem to go mechanical or electric there.

I basically made my own. Function over form: just a piece of sheet of metal, cut some holes in it and put it it. Nothing fancy or even that good looking. I only have 6 gauges though.
