stumbling along
My 2.8 would have a really rough idle, every time I stopped it stalled unless I threw it into neutral and revved it. It doesn't have a smooth acceleration, at low rpm's it stumbles and hesitates, till I get to 2000 then it responds. So here's what I did;
Cleaned the IAC and throttle body, and it idles much smoother now. Had issues with checking the TPS. I put the meter on the connecter (a lead in the middle, one on either side) got mixed readings, trying another meter tomorrow. How do I tell if the IAC is bad?
My dad thought the engine went, so I did a compression test. Got 165,165,168,160,165,150. Pretty good numbers I think. I also put in new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and coil.
