Windage tray/ oil baffle

Windage tray/ oil baffle
On a 92 non-roller block is there a oil baffle plate/tray under the intake, the block I have been reassembling does not have one and I can't seem to find out if it needs one. Thanks, Eric

Sounds to me like he's talking about the intake heat shield. Lots of cars get built without them.
