TPS
I bought a new TPS and want to put it on. Do I need to calibrate it after I put it on, or can I just put it on and be done? 87 iroc z28 TPI 5.7.

Look at the mounting holes on the new TPS. If they are slotted you have some adjustment - if they are barely big enough for the mounting screws, there is no adjustment, put it on and go party.

Hey Todd,
I have an 87 iroc, 350 tpi. Bolt on your tps, but only make the bolts snug so the tps can be moved. You have to set up three jumper wires between the tps and the tps connecter. A small section of insulation should be removed from the center of each jumper wire. After the jumpers are secure, you must check the voltage output from the tps. This is done by turning your ignition to the "on" position, do not start the car. With the ignition on, touch the leads of your voltmeter to the top and middle wires of the tps. Positions of red and black leads do not matter. Just touch one to the top jumper, and one to the middle jumper simumtaneously. The voltage is adjusted by moving the tps. You want a reading of no less than .54v and no more than .56v. mine is set to .54 and runs great. Good luck
