looking to buy a 92 RS
Move this thread if needed
But a buddy of mine is selling his 92 RS to me for a very stellar price
I was just wondering if there's anything specific to be warned about...or look for that's f-body specific
The car is a 92 RS, 305 TBI, 5 Speed Manual, 115k miles
No rust under the car, or on the body itself...only visual defects are some paint chips on the front bumper and rear hatch. Paint color is "Dark Bright Teal Metallic"
The car has t-tops
Since he's owned it, he's replaced the radiator, starter and intake gaskets
That's all I can think of to post...if you need any more info let me know

Check for leaky t-tops.. .They are notorious for leaks. Also, check the rear hatch.
Make sure the doors don't sag, and move easily and close solidly. The doors are another f-body problem.
If it has power windows, make sure they move up and down well, with no hang ups.
Also, check the spare tire compartment for rust. This area often rots out.
Once you own the car and feel more comfortable with it, pull back the carpets and make sure your floor pans are solid.
Thats about it.
