New to this "please help"
Can anyone help me find some kind of instructions or picture diagrams on making an access panel for removal of the fuel pump on a 92 Z28 5.7. I have read all the threads of the pros' and cons to this. Really i would like some help in this problem.
1.) where is the correct location to make this panel.
2.) what tools will be needed.
3.) any step by step pictures of this process
If anyone can help I would love to see my camaro running again and I dont have the time and definiently dont have the money to spend. I am in danger of losing my car due to it being inoperable and certian neighborhood rules against non op. cars.

You should really do it the right way and drop the tank. It is a fairly long process but at least its done right and you dont have to butcher up your car just to take a shortcut. I know i sure as hell wouldnt do something like that just to save a bit of time!

I do agree that dropping the tank would be the best way but I really have little choice at this point. The car is rotting away its been sitting for almost 2 years and I am running out of time with it.

it'd a take a solid day of dedication and work....
plus you'll learn about the current structural inetegrity of the car while your down there
i 2nd the advice to drop the tank
and one hurdle if you DID make an access panel....
you'd need a welder and probably some sheet metal
