Clutch to the floor - no start/no shift
I have a firebird with a 3.4L and a t5 tranny most of the time it works great but there have been a few occasions where I have gone to start the car and get nothing with the clutch slammed to the floor, also because my knee was messed up in a recent accident I don't hold it in first at a stop I set it in neutral to give my leg a rest but a few times when I have tried to go back in first the shifter just won't budge. Both these issues when they arise are rectified by the second or third try on the clutch pedal but I would really like to fix this. The clutch itself while driving is pretty perfect no slipping or grinding at all... the resevoir is full and the master cyl does not seem to be leaking. I don't just want to start tearing things apart on something that functions fine 95 percent of the time and I am not letting a tranny shop touch it without having any idea whats wrong it's not worth a rebuild because I am considering a swap. I am hoping it's something simple I am overlooking... any ideas?

try bleeding the hydraulics. Sounds like you've got some air in there.
Also, when sitting at a light, don't hold the clutch pedal down. It will eventually eat the thrust right out of the motor. It's real hard on FWD cars.

I definitely dont hold it down I can't physically lol I meant like if you are at a quick stop sign on a side street you know a good ole 3 second stop and go I usually pop it into neutral to readjust my leg (really annoying stupid old lady wrecked my leg and back) and that few seconds is enough for that problem to flare up. It is RWD if that adds any components to the mix but I definitely take your bleeding advice totally slipped my mind that's why I posted because I really do think it's something that simple. Thanks!
