Wideband O2 Questions...

I have one of those dinky guages that use a conventional oxygen sensor to measure the ratio or air/fuel, but since my car runs rich, i'm having one heck of a time straightening it out. ITs either good, or bad both ways, no real way to tell how muhc fuel to take out...

Can i buy just a wideband o2 sensor and connevt it to my guage or what?

what can be done?

i'm hating the fumes i get from unburnt gas...

no you cant just use a wideband sensor with that gauge. The wideband sensor needs its own control circuit to control its heater precisly. its output is also much higher than your 0-1 volt narrow bander. There are plenty of stand alone wideband setups avalable now like the FAST and Inovate for example. If you are sure its running rich why not lean it out some and see how it runs?

you will love tuning with the wideband
Goodluck
