check your throttle position sensor, in my 89 iroc i had a similar problem and i replace my tps, and ever since the car runs great. the tps is on the pass side of the motor right in fron of the throttle body, at least that is where it is on my 350 tpi. there is a wire clip going to it, pop that off and remove the 2 hex head screws (might be phillips head also) reinstall the new one in reverse order plug in and go. It could also be your computer.
I hope this helps
