Motor Assembly...Sealants & Main, Rod and Head Bolts & Lube

This is a combined question post...

1. What (if anything) should I dip my head, rod, and main bolts in before I install them?

2. What type of sealant should I use for each task; can I get away with using regular black RTV for everything? (oil pan, timing cover, front and rear china walls, water pump)

3. I am running a Hyd. Roller...Do I need to use a special cam break in lube for the lifters and lobes or can I use the same assembly lube I will use on my bearings?

4. How do you remove the push in plug under the last main and the push in plug near the rear china wall?

to remove the oil plugs, or freeze plugs i drive them in so they turn side ways a bit and then pry them out. rod and main bolts would get oil the head bolts would get a non hardening sealer, i use liquid teflon pipe sealer. i use high tack for the water pump/timing cover, K&M copper spray on the head gaskets ( i know they say to install dry but it really sticks the gaskets to the metal). i use 1 piece oil pan gasket and install it dry, 4 piece gaskets i'd use high tack to hold the long gaskets in place and permatex untracopper at the joints. ultracopper for china walls and any other application for RTV. avation form a gasket on the outside of 1 piece crank seals. for assembly lube i use lubriplate assembly lube, for everything.

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
remove the push in plug under the last main
With a long rod, like a piece of ¼" wire or something; knock it out from behind, through the passage.
